DOTHAN Dude Caught With GOTHAM Copies

While Bat sequel "THE DARK KNIGHT" (TRAILER) now passed the $600 million worldwide gross mark within four weeks, Dothan, AL, Police arrested a 31-year-old man on felony charges of possession of counterfeit and pirated property, including copies of blockbuster film "THE DARK KNIGHT". Police said, Korey Devale Jackson traveled to the New York City area and bought nearly 300 DVDs with the intent to sell the illegal material in Dothan. LEDGER Case Of Death Closed

The U.S. investigation into Australian "THE DARK KNIGHT" (TRAILER) actor Heath Ledger's death has been closed, a source close to the case told the New York Daily News on Wednesday. Ledger died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in Manhattan in January. He was 28. The insider also told the Daily News the status of the investigation means actress Mary-Kate Olsen won't be served with a subpoena, demanding she disclose any information she has about the prescription drugs Ledger had been using. SHANKMAN To Direct Grisham Adaptation

US filmmaker Adam Shankman has signed on to direct the big-screen adaptation of John Grisham's novel "PLAYING FOR PIZZA", Phoenix Pictures also announced that J. Mills Goodloe was hired to write the screenplay. In a statement Shankman, who previously directed the movie musical "Hairspray," said: "I'm thrilled to be working with Phoenix and John Grisham on this adaptation.
